Chronic wounds stall when the surrounding tissue is starved of oxygen. Inside the hyperbaric chamber, you breathe 100% oxygen at increased atmospheric pressure, which dissolves significantly more oxygen into your plasma than breathing air at sea level. That additional oxygen reaches tissue that compromised blood vessels can no longer feed, supporting fibroblast activity, new capillary growth, collagen synthesis, and infection control — the building blocks of wound closure.

What treatment looks like
A standard course typically runs 20–40 sessions, scheduled five days a week. Each session lasts about 90 minutes inside the chamber, plus 15 minutes of compression and decompression. Most patients also continue with wound debridement, dressing changes, and offloading between HBOT visits — the chamber is part of a complete wound-care plan, not a stand-alone fix.

Wounds rarely change visibly in the first week. By weeks two and three, granulation tissue and edge contraction become measurable. Most patients see meaningful closure progress by treatments 20–30, and your physician will reassess regularly to confirm the wound is responding.

Treatment in the chamber
You'll arrive, change into cotton scrubs, and settle into one of our hard-shell hyperbaric chambers. Sessions are about 90 minutes — most patients read, watch a movie, or nap.
Track progress, adjust the plan
We measure progress throughout your course of treatment. Your physician reassesses regularly to make sure the plan is still right, and we communicate clearly with you the whole way through.

- Course length depends on your condition. Sudden hearing loss is typically 10–20 sessions. Most wound and radiation injury protocols run 20–40 sessions. Off-label protocols are often 30–40 sessions. Your physician will lay out an exact plan after evaluating you and will reassess regularly.
